Week 1 of our Summer Program has come to an end.

It has been a rewarding week welcoming students to our firm. Throughout the week, they experienced the day-to-day legal profession and gained valuable insight into case analysis, practical examples, research and collaboration.

We concluded the week with a mock trial, where the students had the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge and skills they acquired during the program, demonstrating teamwork and critical thinking.

We wish our first week's students every success in their legal journeys.

Our Summer Program continues over the next two weeks, and we look forward to welcoming the new groups.

Earlier this month, the European Commission announced the European Technological Sovereignty Package, a landmark set of and measures designed to fundamentally reshape Europe's position in the global technology landscape. Key areas addressed are the semiconductor base for Europe's AI ambition through the Chips Act 2.0, the potential of Europe's cloud and AI capacity through the Cloud and AI Development Act, the digital autonomy through the open source strategy, and the digitalisation of Europe's energy system while ensuring sustainable and strategic developments.

We had a great time at the Nicosia Marathon on Friday night, taking part in the 5 km run. Proud of everyone who put in the effort, and made it to the finish line.

Natasa Zervou, Andri Mitsigga, Vasiliki Christoforou, Maria Kakoullis, and Tatiana Kouri attended the 1st Interdisciplinary Conference on Law and Medicine, organized by the Cyprus Bar Association and the Cyprus Medical Association.

The conference brought together legal and medical professionals to strengthen interdisciplinary dialogue and explore the evolving legal framework governing the practice of medicine in Cyprus. Discussions focused on key issues including medical negligence, medical ethics, disciplinary proceedings, attorney-client and doctor-patient , patient rights, and the growing impact of AI in .

The Department of Labour Relations is contacting employers across Cyprus requesting the written employment terms for all their employees by 31 July 2026.

This requests stems from a compliance review being conducted by the Department under the Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions Law, which came into force in April 2023, and requires employers to inform employees in writing of their essential terms of employment.
