If you own a vehicle, property, or company, these are the main end of year deadlines you need to be aware of:
⏳ Due: December 31
1. Marchamo (vehicle tax)
2. Fourth-quarter property tax and garbage collection fees (if you pay quarterly)
3. Year-end payroll and social security payments (CCSS and INS)
⏳ Due: January 15
1. Luxury Home / Solidarity tax
2. Company registry updates in the National Registry

📌 SAVE this post if you own a property in Costa Rica!

🗓️ Your property taxes are due in the local Municipality quarterly on March 30th, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st.
You can pay these taxes up to one year in advance, starting the first week of the year.

✔ To pay your property tax in Costa Rica, you'll need your corporate ID or your ID number (depending on the property is in your name or your corporation name) and the property number.

💲 How to pay: Pay at the Municipality, online through the National banking system (Banco Nacional and Banco de Costa Rica), or by depositing the funds into the Municipal account at the bank. Or, let our team at Uvita Law Firm take care of it for you.

💡TIP: Make sure you get a receipt from the Municipality!
