Best uses of Chinese company formation:

For overseas investors, a general way to form a company in China will lead firms to setup a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE).

A Chinese WOFE can trade products, services and raw material internationally. It can also conduct manufacturing operations in China and invest directly in other companies in China and internationally. Unlike the local companies, the RMB (Chinese currency) earnings are converted to US dollars (or Euro, CHF, etc.) without being restricted by law, nor penalized by taxes. These earning can be sent directly to its parent company outside of China.

A Chinese WOFE can also be allowed to engage in wholesale and retail trade with Chinese customers. Such entity is then also known as “foreign invested commercial enterprise” (FICE), subject to minor differences during the registration procedures.
