胸有成竹(xiōng yǒu chéng zhú)
"成(chéng)" ="finished" or "completed"
"成竹(chéng zhú)" = a well conceived bamboo image.

"胸有成竹(xiōng yǒu chéng zhú)" originally means that the painter has a completed bamboo picture in his mind before drawing. It is later used to refer to making extensive preparation before doing something, and having full confidence in the final success. It also indicates that someone can remain composed no matter what happens.

For example:
1. 他对这个演讲做了充分准备，胸有成竹。
tā duì gāo kǎo zuò le chōng fèn zhǔn bèi，xiōng yǒu chéng zhú。
She prepared very well for this presentation, so she has confidence in it.

2. 这件事我胸有成竹，交给我你放心。
zhè jiàn shì wǒ xiōng yǒu chéng zhú，jiāo gěi wǒ nǐ fàng xīn.
I can make it for sure, just trust me.

3. 别担心啦，我看她胸有成竹的样子，肯定没问题。
bié dān xīn la, wǒ tā xiōng yǒu chéng zhú de yàng zi ， kěn dìng méi wèn tí.
Don’t worry about her anymore, she looks well prepared, she definitely can finish this perfectly.
