The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) recently issued the Decision on Amending the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Regulation of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Foreign-Funded Insurance Companies, effective from March 10, 2021.

First, the Decision specifies access conditions for foreign group companies and overseas financial institutions. Where an overseas financial institution other than those specified above becomes a shareholder of a foreign-funded insurance company, the relevant provisions of the Measures for the Administration of Equities of Insurance Companies should apply.

Second, the requirements for shareholder changes and access conditions are clarified. If a company changes any of its shareholders and the proposed transferee or successor is a foreign insurance company or a foreign insurance group company, the change cannot be processed unless it complies with the relevant requirements of the Regulation of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Foreign-Funded Insurance Companies and its Detailed Rules for the Implementation.

Third, the Decision repeals restrictive regulations on foreign equity ratio to maintain the system's consistency.

On China Judgement Online website, we find many cases related emoji dispute, today we would like to share with you.

On 24, April, Luhong, a song writer sent lyrics created by his own to Tian Min, Legal representative Shenzhen Daoyi Pictures. Tian replied him by saying that he was on the way together with emoji (strong)

Through deep investigation of their chat history, Intermediate People's Court of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province ruled Wechat emoji(strong) is not a recognition of Luhong’s lyrics, but a polite reply, and the lyrics delivered by Lu Hong cannot be regarded as the basis for complying with the provisions of the contract.

In another private lending case, lender Zhang Huifeng texts to Yan Hao with lists, and then Yan replied with emoji (OK).
Zhang argues emoji (OK) indicates Yan agrees with him, but Yan says he actually disagrees.
The People's Court of Taihe County, Anhui Province held that Wechat chat history provided by Zhang didn’t get clear approval of Yan and it decided Wechat history cannot be considered as the ground indicated Yan owe Zhang’s debts.

Based on a generally stable balance of payment in 2020, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange plans to expand the scale of the Qualified Domestic Limited Partner plan this year. The plan allows domestic investors to access more assets.

It will also continue to approve quotas of the Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor plan, another program for outbound investment, according to Wang Chunying, deputy head and spokeswoman for SAFE.

These measures will boost capital outflows. That will help balance rising , given renminbi assets' bullish momentum and China's sound economic outlook, experts said.
A broader opening-up of the domestic financial sector and relatively stable renminbi-denominated investment instruments are expected to continue to attract foreign capital, especially into the onshore bond market, Wang said.

Reasonable and balanced and not only just appreciating. The currency's value will be determined more by supply and demand in the market, Wang added.
