The limit of damages award in patent cases is proposed to be raised from 1M yuan to 5M yuan.

The design patent term is also proposed to be extended from 10 yrs to 15 yrs.

Also some possible updates on burden of proof and ISP's joint liability in the draft amendment to the Chinese Patent Law, submitted Sunday to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for the first review.
