On 2 June 2021, a Memorandum of Understanding between ZhiZhong and Российский арбитражный центр / Российский Институт современного арбитража Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration was signed. The objective of this MoU is to share resources on alternative dispute resolution, support each other in entering international arbitration markets, work together to enhance arbitration activities, and joint actions to expand the scope of international commercial arbitration by using each other's influence.

Russia shares a border with China and is also an important Belt and Road Initiative country. China and Russia maintain close economic, trade and cultural ties and share a common need to improve the level of legal services, including the Alternative Dispute Resolution service.

The Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration (RIMA) is aimed at promoting and popularizing arbitration in Russia. It has a goal of increasing attractiveness of Russia as a place for business and dispute resolution. The RIMA regularly hosts conferences and workshops devoted to development of arbitration. The Russian Arbitration Center, administering arbitration of private law disputes, is founded at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration.

During the online event, Mr. Zhang Tianwei (Chief Executive Officer of the ZhiZhong) provided detailed information about ZhiZhong and stressed the need for bilateral cooperation.

Ms. Yulia Mullina (General Director of RIMA), provided detail information about RIMA and added “RIMA is in the process of rapid development and is actively exploring the possibilities of cooperation with international organizations. Cooperation with Zhizhong is an important step towards internationalization. The epidemic is not completely over yet, and the demand for internet arbitration and video court hearings is on the rise”.

Now with ZhiZhong’s vast network of ADR institutions and years of experiences for organizing ADR activities, RIMA and ZhiZhong can work together to stimulate the economic growth by offering more accessible and efficient dispute resolution method and promote regional and international commercial ADR activities.

Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival (端午节 Duānwǔ jié).

In 2021, Dragon Boat Festival falls on June 14. China will have 3 days of public holiday that’s why we will be back at work on June 15.

Dragon Boat Festival is a folk festival celebrated for over 2,000 years, when Chinese people practice various customs thought to dispel disease and invoke good health.

Some of the most traditional customs include dragon boat racing, eating sticky rice dumplings (zongzi), drinking realgar wine, and wearing perfume pouches.

Dragon boat racing is said to originate from the legend of people paddling out on boats to seek the body of patriotic poet Qu Yuan (343-278 BC), who drowned himself in a River.
Dragon boat racing is the most important activity during the Dragon Boat Festival.

What is Internet arbitration?

Arbitration is a procedure in which a dispute is submitted, by agreement of the parties, to one or more arbitrators who make a binding decision on the dispute.
Internet arbitration is a dispute resolution method that uses the Internet and other high technologies to provide arbitration services to resolve arbitration cases. The Internet Arbitration System uses the Internet to implement virtually all arbitration procedures, including case filing, acceptance and further hearing of the case. Online Arbitration is particularly convenient and efficient where the parties are located at a distance, as distance communication obviates the need for travelling.

What does"ZhiZhong" stand for?🤓

In Chinese, "ZhiZhong" means "Knowing Arbitration", it consists of 2 Chinese characters, “Zhi” and “Zhong”.

Specifically, “Zhi” is “知道” (phonetic transcription Zhīdào) , which means “know” and “Zhong” is “仲裁” (phonetic transcription Zhòngcái) , which means arbitration.

Online MoU Signed between ZhiZhong and ACDR Afghanistan Commercial Dispute Resolution Center

On Thursday 6 May 2021, a Memorandum of Understanding between Beijing ZhiZhong and Afghanistan Commercial Dispute Resolution Center was signed. The objective of this MoU is to share resources on alternative dispute resolution, support each other in entering international arbitration markets, work together to enhance arbitration activities, and Joint actions to expand the scope of international commercial arbitration by using each other's influence.

During the online event, Mr. Zhang Tianwei, Chief Executive Officer of the Beijing ZhiZhong ,provided detailed information about ZhiZhong and stressed the need for bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Tawakool Khurram, CEO of ACDR provided information about ACDR and added “ACDR is striving to develop and institutionalize the arbitration in Afghanistan and region.” He further added “the ACDR is working to expand its regional cooperation to establish good and strong relations with other arbitration centers in the region. Now we are pleased to continue our further cooperation with the ZhiZhong to enhance arbitration in the region and internationally.”

The theme was "Open Innovation Trends and Global Innovation Leaders", this conference participated Julian Kassum, Ms. Yu Min, Alberto Onetti and Daniele Graverini. ZhiZhong did a live broadcast on Wechat platform and that live broadcast reach over 3000 people.

ZhiZhong and Центр медиации и переговоров have recently signed MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), officially announcing our mutual cooperation with regard to mediation and other alternative dispute resolution in the future.

Center for Mediation and Negotiation was established in 2012 in Minsk and became the first organization in Belarus registered for providing Mediation services and trainings. Center for Mediation and Negotiation trained more than 150 mediators. Their trainers are qualified and experienced mediators in domestic and international field of Mediation and Negotiation. Their mediators accredited by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and conducted more than 350 mediations. In 75% of Mediations parties signed Mediation agreement. Working languages – Russian, Belarusian, English and German.

Beijing Zhizhong is honored to cooperate with Center for Mediation and Negotiation and we will fully exploit our resources to help Center for Mediation and Negotiation expand Chinese market, gain recognition domestically and internationally and so on. We truly believe that, in close collaboration with each other, we can efficiently promote international commercial arbitration and mediation activities, provide more accessible, economic dispute resolution and make contributions to the whole international dispute resolution community.
