Orrick's International Arbitration practice represents corporations, state-owned entities and governments in high-value domestic and cross-border investment and commercial disputes to resolve complex multijurisdictional matters through international arbitration and litigation around the world. It has a significant investment arbitration practice acting for both states and investors, particularly in the energy (renewable & traditional), natural resources, power and infrastructure sectors. Orrick represents clients in contract-based disputes with sovereigns and sovereign-owned entities, treaty claims such as expropriation, full protection and security, discrimination and fair and equitable treatment. The firm also represent large industrials, including a range of small, medium and large businesses in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Orrick appears on a regular basis for clients before all major arbitral institutions and act under all leading sets of rules, as well as in significant national court proceedings relating to arbitration.
