Says here uncontested divorces cost between $1,500.00 - $3,000.00. Up to regulation of paralegals in 2007 I completed hundreds of divorces for $325.00. Lawyers fees are between 5-10 times what a paralegal charged. I have never heard a reason or why one paralegal on the regs committee said we shouldn't be doing family law. One could see why it might be thought that the Law Society of Ontario does not act for the best interest of the public ... but rather acts for the protection of the lawyers guild.

The initial application for divorce is $212, plus an additional $420 for the Affidavit for Divorce, plus another $24 for obtaining the Certificate of Divorce. How much does it cost to get a divorce…
