📢 MAJOR EXPRESS ENTRY UPDATE: High-Wage Occupation Rules Effective Nov 3, 2026! 🇨🇦
👉 Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is rolling out key changes to Express Entry points, work experience rules, and LMIA exemptions!
Here is a quick breakdown of the new Rules & Eligibility framework:
🔹 What Changed: Extra CRS points are now awarded for eligible Canadian work experience or qualifying job offers in high-wage occupations.
🔹 High-Wage Meaning: Based on the NOC's median wage in Canada (1.3x, 1.5x, or 2x)—not your personal salary. Your NOC must be on the eligible list!
🔹 Canadian Work Experience: 12+ months in TEER 0–3 can add +20, +40, or +70 extra CRS points.
🔹 Job Offer Route: A qualifying full-time job offer (1 year post-PR) can give +50, +70, or +100 CRS points.
🔹 No Stacking Rule: You get points for work experience OR job offer—whichever gives a higher score (points are not combined).
🔹 LMIA Exemption: An LMIA is no longer required for a qualifying job offer to claim these points!
🔹 Still Not Automatic: Receiving extra points does not guarantee an ITA—IRCC will verify job offer validity and employer legitimacy.
