Neighbours . . . we have agreed to be a water depot for Wheatley.
The municipality of Chatham-Kent has dropped of cases of bottled water here for anyone who does not have the ability to boil water for their household.

If you are unable to drive or get a ride to pick up, please call us at 226-484-1004 OR 519-300-4101.

Monday August 30th Update: We are open.

If you have an ongoing real estate, estate, corporate or family matter with us, we are still open and working hard remotely for you.

However, due to the ongoing situation in Wheatley we are not physically able to get to our offices to answer our landline at 825-7032 or get our voicemail messages. We will be contacting all clients to reschedule appointments and make accommodations as needed. In the meantime:

- All in-person appointments will now be conducted by email, phone and zoom /FaceTime video conferencing or we will come to you.

- Instead of calling us, please message the Eaton Law Office on Facebook or email us directly with your phone number or message and we will get back to you on our personal cell phones.

Due to recent changes, we are now able to make Wills and Powers of Attorney via video conferencing. Though estate planning is not always an easy topic, it is an important one that is too often neglected and/or put off.

Typically, we would meet with you in person to obtain your instructions, mail or send you draft copies to review, and then Joyce and I would meet you in person at the office to witness the documents. The process will still be the same; however, now all in person meetings will be conducted via video conferencing on Zoom or Facetime and you will return the documents to us to be witnessed afterwards.

We have been conducting meetings via video conferencing for over three weeks and are more than ready to assist you or someone you know through this process, including having documents witnessed at long-term care homes and hospitals. As always, we will we be flexible and work with each client to make specific arrangements to email, mail, or deliver documents safely and securely.

The provincial Cabinet passed an emergency order to allow virtual witnessing for the duration of the state of emergency

To our clients and community:

As the situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) evolves, our office is taking this situation seriously and we are committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our clients, staff, families and community.

For this reason, effective Monday, March 16th, until at least April 6, 2020, we will not be holding any in-person appointments at our office. We will be rescheduling all non-urgent appointments and those which must be in-person until at least April 6, 2020. For all other matters, including real estate transactions closing in the next month, we are still working and committed to serving our clients. We will be providing phone and FaceTime consultations for the next 3 weeks. If you have any questions, or need to drop off documents, please call the office at 519-825-7032 and we would be happy to assist you.
