The downward trend in average sale price of homes in Niagara region continued through May 2022 from a peak of approximately 820k in February to 750k in May 2022.A couple of factors may be responsible for this downward trend.Changes in Bank of Canada interest rate affecting lending rate and housing stock supply and demand.
Swipe to see image on increase in monthly supply of homes for sale as this may explain this drop in average sale price.
Buyers and sellers can still very much engage in finding the best market spot that favours their needs

March 2022 market report for residential homes in the Niagara region is out. With the exception of Niagara-on-the-Lake and Thorold, homes sold on average at a higher price in comparison with the original listed price. Keep in mind that the market is dynamic, last month’s results are not indicative of what will happen this month .Do not be discouraged about buying or selling.
