Niagara Region is offering a free rabies vaccination clinic on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 77 Division Street in Welland. Pre-registration is encouraged and will be prioritized with assigned timeslots. Walk-ins are welcome while supplies last. Limited quantities of free pet food will also be available.
Rabies is a serious disease, and vaccination is one of the best ways to protect both your pets and your family. If your cat or dog is due for their vaccination, this is a great local opportunity to take advantage of.

Cooking for my family isn’t just something I do—it’s one of the ways I show my love. It’s where memories are made, stories are shared, and connections grow stronger.

This kitchen is more than a room in my house. It’s the heart of my home.

Episode 4 of is all about keeping summer meals simple, fresh, and budget-friendly. ☀️🥗

This BBQ Chicken Summer Salad came together with green leaf lettuce, red onion, red pepper, cucumber, mango, pineapple, and leftover BBQ chicken breast. The homemade dressing is a blend of olive oil, white wine vinegar, honey, chipotle mango seasoning, and a little salt and pepper for the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and tangy flavours.

One of my favourite ways to save money in the kitchen is finding new ways to use leftovers, and this salad is proof that yesterday’s BBQ can become today’s restaurant-worthy meal.

We enjoyed this one out on the patio with a chilled glass of Prosecco and good company. Sometimes the best meals are the simplest ones.

Episode 3 of 🍽️✨

This week I made pork tenderloin TWO ways — one sweet & one savoury so everyone could pick their favourite 👏🏻

For the sweet version, I used apple smoked mustard with a tablespoon of maple syrup, then paired it with carrots, brussels sprouts, onion, fresh apple, mango, and sweet potato 🍎🥭🍠

For the savoury version, I kept it classic with Dijon mustard alongside carrots, brussels sprouts, and onion 🧅🥕

Everything got a drizzle of olive oil, salt & pepper, then into the oven at 400° for 20–25 minutes 🔥

I accompanied this dish with a side of Coleslaw, one of the families favourite sides!

These were SUCH a hit with my family — they absolutely love a good pork dish. Unfortunately I have a sensitivity to pork, so I had to sit this one out, but hearing all the rave reviews made it worth making 🤍

My grandma and her grandma were good friends as were my mom and her mom. The house has been completely transformed since I was there in the 70s and 80s but the memories will never be forgotten

Garden season is here in Zone 6B! 🌱
Now’s the time to direct sow warm-weather seeds like beans, cucumbers, squash, corn, basil, sunflowers, and zinnias, as well as cool-season staples like carrots, lettuce, and beets.

Our Seed Library at our Main Branch is open for patrons to take free seeds (up to 10 packets), try new varieties, and contribute seeds from their own gardens at the end of the season🌻
