We also thank everyone for their will instructions being relatively straight forward.

We want to get to everyone in these times.

We also have a new Policy for Family Law Consultations:

$100 deposit to meet with your lawyer virtually for the first time.
If you hire us, we will apply the $100 to your first account.
If you are not fully satisfied with the meeting with your lawyer we will refund your money.

The reason we are asking for the $100 is that we want you to be as committed to your first meeting with your lawyer as we are.

We are committed and already start working on your matter before you attend with us virtually.

At Hemminger Law Group Westshore, before we even sit down with you:

1. We do a conflict check to ensure there is no conflict of interest.
2. We Set up your file in our computer system so your lawyer is able to focus immediately upon the issues at hand.
3. When we meet with you, we not only have your information, but we discuss strategy right from the get go.
4. We get a full understanding of your case.
5. We commence giving you direction.

Again, if you are not fully satisfied, we will return your $100.

Free Will for ALL Frontline Workers (health-care, grocery/pharmacy, driver, first-responder!)

Are you a frontline worker in these tough times?

At Hemminger Law Group Westshore (Pathway Legal) we are using a BROAD definition of frontline worker. Essentially, if you are someone who is helping our community by helping others, some of that time including coming into contact with others, you are a frontline worker.

Do you work in health-care where you have in-person contact with others? Then you are a frontline worker.

Do you venture out and serve your community by working in a grocery store or pharmacy? Then you are a frontline worker.

Do you deliver stuff to people including meals and other necessary items? Then you are a frontline worker.

Are you a police officer, ambulance driver, or firefighter? Then you are a frontline worker.

At Hemminger Law Group Westshore(aka Pathway Legal, but more on that later), we want to start by acknowledging the unprecedented hardships so many of you are facing. On behalf of our team, we want to thank all of the frontline workers whose relentless commitment and bravery continues to keep our communities safe. As you know, at 7 pm every evening across Canada, Canadians step out onto their porches and balconies to cheer the ongoing efforts of the frontline workers as they battle the COVID-19pandemic. Frequently asked questions: How much do you guys normally charge for a will?

We usually charge $750 to $2000depending on the complexity. Do I need a lawyer to witness my will?

You do NOT need a lawyer to witness your will. However, you need two people in the room at the same time as you execute your will. You also want to make sure that your witnesses are not beneficiaries of your will. When you get your will done, we can give you specific direction about how to do this process in a valid way.
