Downtown Vancouver law firm is seeking a junior legal assistant or administrative assistant with up to two years’ experience to work primarily for two lawyers with the support of a senior assistant.
Our focus is on finding the right person. So, while previous experience would be an asset, it is not a requirement. Mentoring and training will be provided.
Primary areas of law:
• Dispute Resolution
• Family Law
• Estate Litigation
• Personal Injury Claims
Job duties will include working on files at various stages from commencement to resolution, potentially including:
• Drafting correspondence
• Arranging client meetings/Boardroom preparation for large meetings
• Booking trials/Examinations for Discovery/Mediations
• Filing various Pleadings/Courthouse runs
• Preparing documents/Binders for court such as: submissions, chamber’s binders and document binders
• Filing/Photocopying/Scanning
• Maintaining office supplies/Mail
• Preparing and maintaining files
Qualifications:
Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from a credited college and/or
Administrative Assistant Certificate from a credited college.

• Strong analytical ability
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong writing skills
• Highly organized
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
