Jorge Enrique Torres Lezama Jorge Enrique Torres "Quique" was a labour lawyer since the 1970s. They were exiled to Mexico. Quique died on February 8, 2012.

In 1978 Quique and his wife Marta Gloria, survived an assassination attempt from the Guatemalan death squads. After a few years, of meandering across Latin America, he and his family received political asylum in Canada.

1997, when the Guatemalan peace accords were signed, my father returned to Guatemala to return to his work as a labour lawyer. Since that time he built a team of lawyers that handle 40 unions in Guatemala.
