After more than five years of practicing family law exclusively, much of it in high‑conflict litigation, I am proud to share that I have launched my own firm: Gaur Family Law.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of guiding clients through some of the most challenging and emotional periods of their lives. I have also seen firsthand the financial strain, emotional toll, and unpredictability that prolonged court proceedings can create. While litigation is sometimes essential to protect a client’s rights or move a matter forward, I firmly believe there is often a more constructive path.
The vision behind Gaur Family Law is simple: to bring humanity back into the practice of family law.
For me, this means prioritizing resolution over conflict whenever possible. It means picking up the phone to have a productive conversation instead of engaging in endless back‑and‑forth emails. It means viewing clients not as files or time entries but as individuals navigating deeply personal, life‑changing transitions. And it means extending professionalism and respect to opposing counsel, especially when our perspectives differ.
Family law is emotional by nature, but the way we practice does not need to be adversarial by default. We can advocate firmly while remaining respectful. We can safeguard our clients’ interests while also promoting practical, out‑of‑court solutions that preserve dignity and reduce unnecessary harm.
This next chapter is grounded in that belief.
I am deeply grateful to the mentors who have guided, challenged, and inspired me, and to the colleagues who have modelled professionalism, collaboration, and integrity—many of whom I am fortunate to now call friends.
To my clients, colleagues, and community: thank you for your trust and support. I am excited for what lies ahead and committed to building a practice rooted in compassion, integrity, and thoughtful advocacy.
