Dundas Station is officially getting a new name: TMU Station.

The TTC board voted unanimously this week to approve the renaming, which comes as part of a new research partnership between the transit agency and Toronto Metropolitan University. TMU will cover the costs of the rebrand and collaborate with the TTC on a new innovation hub called the Transit Innovation Yard.

Officials say the change reflects the station’s close integration with the growing TMU campus and student life. A renaming timeline has not yet been announced.
