This February marks 10 years in real estate and 15 years in business.
For those who are new here, and for friends and family I’d love to reconnect with, let me (re)introduce myself.
Real estate truly runs in my blood. My mom has been a licensed agent for 25 years, and much of my later childhood was spent tagging along to showings and helping prep open houses. She used to bake an apple pie in her listings just before her open houses and serve it to every visitor. While times have changed, I still love adding personal touches to my listings to create that same warm, welcoming feeling.
Before real estate, I became one of the youngest TD Mobile Mortgage Specialists at just 24, servicing the Greater GTA. I spent four years as a mortgage broker prior to being a licensed realtor, helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership and investment goals ... an experience that continues to shape how I serve my clients today.
My very first listing in 2016, only months after being licensed, was a vacant land where my seller’s investment property had burnt to the ground. I wasn’t even allowed to put a sign on the lot! Yet that deal introduced me to a network of builders and some of my strongest professional relationships to date. In 2018, I went on to build my first custom home alongside a now well-known developer, servicing the entire project from architectural concepts and city approvals, construction financing, and managing the trades. That 4,750 sq ft home still holds a piece of my heart. I introduced it to the market in 2020, just after welcoming my firstborn.
Becoming a mom in the midst of this fast-paced industry was terrifying. I questioned how I would balance both worlds and continue to serve my clients with the same pride and care. What I didn’t know was that Sebastian would give me the greatest purpose of my life and completely elevated my business. Shortly after he turned one, I received the Red Diamond Award and walked across the stage with him in my arms. Today, I’m also mommy to the sweetest and strongest baby girl, who has given me a source of strength I never knew I had.
It has been such an honour helping clients buy their first home, downsize into retirement, or grow from one investment property to many. Over the past decade, I’ve learned so much about life, sitting across from some truly fascinating humans. That is, without question, my favourite part of this job… the people.
I know the world can feel uncertain these days and even scary at times, especially financially. If real estate, your mortgage renewal, or wealth planning is something you’re thinking about or talking about around the dinner table, I would love to connect and talk all things real estate and finance.
