Calling all Riverdale residents!
This fall, I invite you to join me in giving back to the community we are all fortunate enough to call home.
Every week, Nourish East End foodbank welcomes over 600 individuals, from over 300 households. They are a member of the Daily Bread Food Bank network, one of 207 member agencies across Toronto working to eliminate food insecurity, and to advocate for solutions to end poverty – all while providing food and support to our neighbours. Located at 1470 Gerrard St E, nourish hosts a market style food bank every Wednesday, and community dinners on the 4th Monday of every month.
As an individual who lives and works in Riverdale, I am excited and honored to be heading up a food drive this September, with the proceeds headed to Nourish, and the members of our community.
When?: Pick up of all items will be done by me personally on Sunday October 5th.
Pick-up: Simply place the items on your porch in a bag or box!
How will you know to come to my house!?: E-mail me at any point before Saturday October 5th, with your address for pick up. Note "Food Drive Pick Up" in the subject line. I will reply to all e-mails in acknowledgment. If you don't hear back from me, you may have gone to spam!

Particular items of need: canned soup, canned vegetables, canned beans, condiments, and sauces/spices/seasonings (Eg. pre-made teriyaki sauce, curry paste, butter chicken mix, etc.)
Together, let’s ensure every family has the opportunity to gather around the table this Thanksgiving season.
