🚨 If your PGWP was refused, read this today
You graduated.
You applied for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
Your application was refused. No warning.
Often with very little explanation.
PGWP refusals are increasing because:
▪️ New or clarified eligibility requirements (including language and field-of-study rules) are being enforced, while the online system does not clearly specify all required documents to be uploaded
▪️ Timing issues involving the 90-day restoration period or the 180-day PGWP deadline
A refusal does not always mean the end.
But what you do next, and how fast you act, matters.
Deadlines for restoration and appeal options are very short.
Many students lose options simply by not having a clear strategy.
If you are unsure about your next step, speaking with an immigration lawyer early can help protect your future in Canada.
Please share this with any international student dealing with a PGWP refusal.
