Figuring out the forms needed for divorce may become a difficult process when having many other emotions and feelings running through your mind. When figuring out the main forms you need, consider your personal situation and the legal elements involved including property, children, bank accounts, a family business, and anything else you share together. 👨‍👨‍👦‍👦✒️

Form 8 must be filled out in all cases, and 35.1 must be filled out if you are going through a divorce that involves property and children. 🖊️📄

You may be having some trouble with your co-parent during the holidays to work with one another's schedule, and finding childcare. Wish you prepped a plan sooner?

1. If you and your partner have plans in place, try to stick to this if you can. However, if work hours have changed be genuine and accommodating to avoid conflict for the children.
2. Prepare your kids ahead of time for the changes. It's important that they are aware of the new plans so they can feel comfortable and informed. This will help with smooth transitioning.
3. For next time, take some time with your coparent to identify a general plan that you both can agree on so you don't run into any childcare issues during future holidays. That way you know what you need to consider to plan ahead with your coparent.

Before I began working in law formally, I spent time volunteering and connecting with the Malvern Family Resource Centre.

During my time at MFRC I taught and guided youth through mock trials and legal education. We were given the opportunity to set up a trial, practice, and present it in the Ontario Court of Justice court room. With the youth, we worked through difficult, yet real life scenarios. It was during this time where I got to understand the experiences of my community and their needs.

Community work inspired me as a lawyer now, to reasonably price my services, so I can provide community members with high-quality legal support.

1. Special or extraordinary expenses
2. Parenting arrangement
3. Undue hardship
4. Retroactive support
5. Arrears
