Measures for Israeli nationals, Palestinian passport holders and family members in Canada have been extended until July 31, 2025.

Due to the crisis in Israel and the Palestinian Territories, temporary measures are in place for the following categories:

*Israeli nationals and Palestinian passport holders in Canada
*those who came to Canada through the special measures for extended family in Gaza
*family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents who left Israel or the Palestinian Territories on or after October 7, 2023
*permanent residents of Canada who left Israel or the Palestinian Territories on or after October 7, 2023

Attention International Students:

Significant changes have been announced by IRCC for Students pursuing their education in Canada and their accompanying family members.

In addition to putting a cap on the yearly Study Permit Intakes, students will now be required to provide an attestation letters as part of their application for a study permit from the province where their educational institution is located.

Furthermore, In the weeks ahead, open work permits will only be available to spouses of international students in master's and doctoral programs. The spouses of international students in other levels of study, including undergraduate and college programs, will no longer be eligible.

Starting in 2024, International students who wish to pursue their education in Canada will need to demonstrate double the financial ability to sustain them selves in Canada in addition to the ability to afford the International tuition fees. The amount will be raised to $20,635 per year for the student and additional $4,000 for spouse and $3000 for each dependent thereafter. We advise all student that intend to study in Canada in 2024 to submit their applications as soon as possible under the old regulations.
