- Sometimes, going with the flow of traffic just isn’t worth it.

While on patrol this weekend, an officer spotted these two drivers driving well above the posted speed limit in Erin, one behind the other. A traffic stop was initiated on both vehicles.

Both drivers were charged with:
• Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed
• Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit

Both drivers received a 30-day license suspension, a 14-day vehicle impoundment, and a future court date.

On Friday, May 29th, 2026, at approximately 8:20 PM, a Russell County OPP officer conducting speed enforcement in the Casselman area on Highway 417 stopped a driver traveling westbound for stunt driving at 180 km/h in a posted 110 km/h zone.

The driver was charged with stunt driving and careless driving. Their licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

The driver will appear in court at a later date.

Speeding at these levels puts everyone at risk. Slow down and drive responsibly.

🚔 Traffic Enforcement Reminder 🚔

This morning, Kensington Police Service stopped a vehicle traveling 104 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone within the Town of Kensington.

Kensington Police Service continues to see motorists traveling at excessive speeds within our community. Speeding significantly increases the risk of serious collisions and places pedestrians, cyclists, residents, and other motorists at risk.

Drivers are reminded to slow down when entering and traveling through Kensington. Our officers conduct regular traffic enforcement throughout the community and will continue to address speeding and other unsafe driving behaviours. Drivers found violating the law can expect enforcement action.

Traffic safety remains a priority for the Kensington Police Service. We ask all motorists to obey posted speed limits and help keep our roads safe for everyone.

APPEAL FOR WITNESSES: On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at approximately 12:05 a.m., members of the were called to a fatal collision on the southbound lanes of /Derry Rd. A pedestrian fell from the overpass and was struck by multiple vehicles. Two vehicles remained at the scene while several others did not stop.
One vehicle is belived to be black Ford, there would be damage to the vehicle.
The investigators would like to speak with that driver or any drivers in the area at the time of the collision who may be witnesses of who may have struck the person.
A 48-year-old male from Brampton was pronounced deceased at the scene. No foul play is suspected.
