I've lived rural & city—I grew up rural London (horse farm), lived Hamilton, Dundas Valley and primarily my heart home Toronto (current)—city or town, urban or rural, find your place. So can a referral:
•When speaking with a potential realtor find out what
neighbourhoods in a city they know best
•What services are included in the commission, is staging
included?
•Do they have tradespeople a
t hand, cost?
•Selling? How will your listing be marketed?
•Buyer? Don't be shy, if this is your first and you have some
anxiety ask questions, many of us enjoy patiently supporting
through the process, others may not...Be comfortable.
•A good salesperson will be hiring a photographer but there are
many still snapping those bad listing photos with their
phones...if you're selling, another question.
•Ask everything that comes to mind. I've worked with buyers and sellers in my home city Toronto and, having lived in the region for several years, I've represented buyers and sellers in the Hamilton area. Currently I do not actively trade but I have trusted realtors to refer, a group whose work I respect. It's not just their experience it's how they approach the work, how they interact with, support and represent their clients. That connection was always super important to me, I gravitate to the same in my colleagues. If you're selling or buying in any of my regions I'd be happy to supply 2-3 contacts, you connect, ask questions, get a feel for the person, there is absolutely no obligation this may simply provide new connections. You should settle on someone who best suits you and your needs. The City of Toronto, GTA, Hamilton, Niagara, my hometown London, Ottawa region and cottage country—reach out anytime.
