🔊 Big news for potential immigrants! 🌎 This week, the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, and Manitoba have invited candidates in the latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw.

PNP was established to enable provincial governments to have more say in the selection of economic immigrants settling in their areas. By being nominated by a province, a candidate's chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence significantly improve. Express Entry candidates who get nominated get a bonus of 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, making an ITA almost guaranteed.

These nominations are allocated by the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) based on the yearly Immigration Levels Plan. Provinces have been advocating for individual agreements with the federal government, similar to the Canada-Quebec Accord. Though such agreements are not yet in place, a new initiative that outlines provincial nomination allocations for the next three years was ratified earlier this year.

This move empowers provinces to better plan for and accommodate newcomers, ensuring adequate jobs, housing, and infrastructure.

Here's a snapshot of the Provincial Immigration Results from July 15-20:

💫 Ontario invited 902 tech occupation candidates and 159 healthcare professionals. All these candidates had a CRS score in the range of 458-462.

💫 British Columbia invited 167 candidates across four draws, with 112 invitations for tech occupation candidates and the rest for early childhood educators and assistants, healthcare professionals, and a few other priority occupations.

💫 Prince Edward Island extended invites to 97 candidates under the Critical Worker Stream and 9 candidates under the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream.

💫 Manitoba sent out 595 Letters of Advice to Apply, with 340 given to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile.

Provinces are focused on selecting skilled candidates who can fill gaps in their local labor force, thereby ensuring smooth integration into the local economy.

Bring Your Family Closer with Canada's Open Work Permits: Now Available for Outland Applications!

Before, these permits were only accessible for inland sponsorship applications or those already in Canada on a Temporary Residence Visa (TRV). But guess what? The game has changed! 🎉📣 LATEST CANADA IMMIGRATION UPDATE FROM IRCC - JULY 11 📣🎉

On July 11, IRCC extended invitations to 800 candidates through a comprehensive draw. The minimum required CRS score was 505, a notable increase compared to the three category-based selections the previous week, yet still lower than the 511-point requirement for candidates in the July 4 draw.

Today, invitations were issued to candidates who are eligible for category-based selection in healthcare occupations. In total, 1,500 candidates were invited. Candidates required a minimum CRS score of 463. This is lowest CRS score of any Express Entry round of invitations issued in 2023
