In helping a friend deal with certain aspects of a family law matter, and in not being an FLSP, I have learned a few things about family law, including the concept of the McKenzie Friend. This person is literally like an emotional support animal, except this person is a human and not a dog (or other animal). I also learned that, yes, I can be a McKenzie Friend. Lawyers, as I learn more and more about family law, I offer more and more services. Yes, it's fully possible that the Defendant(s) will admit and agree with everything and simply move toward suggesting a payment plan; it's fully possible that the Defendant(s) just didn't want to pay whatever was owed, but admitted to "what happened". Doing things like this, and things other than work, on your computer takes time and a touch of planning. Clearly Legal Testimonial Alert!!! I admit that sometimes my testimonials are not fresh (as in brand new work that I've only done in this past 2 months). That does not make the testimonial any less worthy, and this student is still special to me.
