The PTE Core is a computer-based language test with specific emphasis on proving general English ability for Canadian immigration. The test assesses everyday English skills in speaking, writing, reading and listening within a time limit of two hours. Testing centres can be found around the world, with over 400 locations globally.

According to Pearson’s website, the test is scored by both humans and AI to reduce the risk of bias. Test results can be obtained within two days.

As of January 30th, 2024, the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Core test will now be accepted for all immigration pathways, except for the Student Direct Stream (SDS). One of our refugee claimants, a beautiful 24-year-old girl from Kenya, died tragically on Thursday in a swimming pool in Owen Sound, where she was working as a PSW. Celebrating International Women's Day! Shout out to a brave woman who is my hero Yana Rylska who is right now crammed in a train, with her 6-year-old daughter Sofiia, and Jack Russel Terrier Joy, waiting all night an hour outside Poland, fleeing from her home in Dnipro Ukraine, she is so close almost there, but I cannot imagine the conditions on that life-saving train.
