The road is still closed to vehicular traffic, but Pro Bone-o is keeping an eye on progress from the window. Bonus points if you can spot him. 💀

It’s official: meet Pro Bone-O. 💀👔

Thunder Bay, you’ve named our newest—and tallest—colleague.

Thank you to our staff for the nominations and everyone who joined in on Facebook and Instagram. Between the votes, the suggestions and the comments, you made this a lot of fun.

Honourable mentions go to fellow finalists Seymour Fractures and The Reaping Giant, along with Tort Arthur, The Grim Retainer, Habeas Co**se and Bone Jovi.

Pro Bone-O now has a tie and a name tag. He considers the dress code satisfied.

He’s already been bringing smiles to the lobby. You’ll find him at WML, on the corner of Red River Road and Cumberland Street, throughout Halloween season. Give him a wave when you pass!

Thunder Bay, our newest colleague needs a name. 💀👔

He’s 12 feet tall, showed up wearing a tie and brought his WML helmet. Clients are already getting a kick out of him. We’re still looking for a desk that fits.

Our staff have narrowed the names to three finalists. Now you get the final say:

1️⃣ Pro Bone-o
2️⃣ Seymour Fractures
3️⃣ The Reaping Giant

Bridging Legal Traditions in Edinburgh 🇨🇦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚖️

Peter White, Dan Lester, Jeff Moorley, and Kristen Hamilton of White Macgillivray Lester recently travelled to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Law Conference: Bridging Legal Traditions, presented by the Faculty of Advocates and the Thunder Bay Law Association.

The program brought together lawyers and judges from Ontario and Scotland to exchange perspectives on advocacy, civil practice and our respective legal traditions, while giving the Thunder Bay delegation an opportunity to experience the institutions and history of the Scottish Bar firsthand.

We came home with new ideas, new connections and a deeper appreciation for both the differences between our legal systems and the traditions they share.

Our thanks to the Faculty of Advocates and everyone involved in welcoming the Thunder Bay legal community to Edinburgh.

“Both as a member and as a board member, I have seen the significant work that OTLA does for injury victims and injury lawyers in Ontario. The amount of work that OTLA puts in is staggering. This includes “behind the scenes” work that many members don’t see. Without OTLA, injury victims and injury lawyers would have a much worse legal system,” shares Duncan.

A first for Thunder Bay. 🔥

Today, Spinal Cord Injury Ontario brought its Access Expo to Thunder Bay for the first time.

White Macgillivray Lester was proud to support the inaugural Thunder Bay event as a Premiere Sponsor, with WML partner Jeff Moorley on hand to connect with attendees, service providers and organizations from across our community.

Thank you to Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, the exhibitors, and everyone who stopped by our table to say hello. It was great to see so many people come together around accessibility, independence and inclusion in Northwestern Ontario.

New curbing is going in right outside our office entrance today. 👷‍♂️
