🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡
On this day, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never came home.
We acknowledge the deep and lasting harm caused by colonial systems and commit ourselves to the work of truth, healing, and reconciliation.
Our office is located in Unama’ki (Cape Breton), on the unceded and ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people. We are grateful to live and work in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi’kmaq Nation.
Today, our office is closed in recognition of this day and in reflection on its meaning.
Reconciliation is not just one day — it is a responsibility we carry forward every day. We stand in support with Indigenous peoples and commit to listening, learning, and taking action toward justice and equity.
