What is your name and what is your role on the day to day?
My name is Katelyn Bradley. I am the Family Law Paralegal at Elaine Gibney Law. My responsibilities include preparing legal documentation, conducting legal research, billing, meeting with clients and helping clients navigate the family law legal system under the supervision of the family law lawyers.
How long have you been in your role?
I started working with Elaine almost 12 years ago when I was a recent graduate. Working with Elaine has helped me grow my legal knowledge and has provided me with the drive, determination and confidence to excel in my field.
Other than your degree, what other knowledge or special training do you have that might apply to any situation?
I graduated with honors from the paralegal program at Island Career Academy in 2011. I returned in 2018, when I accepted a position to teach the the Paralegal/Legal assistant program.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I have a strong passion for volunteering within the community. I have been on the board of directors for Pride Cape Breton for many years and I currently hold the position of Co-Chair. I love camping, travelling and spontaneous adventures on our beautiful island with my wife, Amy. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my two adorable nephews, Kyrie and Evander.
