St. Lucia
St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Seychelles
Thailand
Trinidad & Tobago
Uruguay

Effective today, travellers from these countries who have either held a Canadian visa in the last 10 years or who currently hold a valid United States non-immigrant visa, can now apply for an eTA instead of a visa when travelling to Canada by air.

If you already have a valid visa, you should continue to use it to travel to Canada. Those who are not eligible for an eTA, or who are travelling to Canada by car, bus, train and boat—including by cruise ship, will still need a visitor visa.

IRCC ਵਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਦਾ-ਦਾਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਸਪਾਂਸਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਲਈ 15,000 ਤੱਕ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਗਲੇ 2 ਹਫਤਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ 23,100 ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਸਪਾਂਸਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੱਦੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ 15,000 ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਾਲ 2020 ਦੇ ਪੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਪਾਂਸਰ ਫਾਰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਾਰਨ, IRCC, ਉਸ ਪੂਲ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਤਰਤੀਬੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਸਪਾਂਸਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ। ਸਾਲ 2021 ਲਈ ਵੀ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ 2020 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਪਾਂਸਰ ਫਾਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ, ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2021 ਜਾਂ ਸਤੰਬਰ 2021 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਜ਼ੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਈਮੇਲ ਅਕਾਉਂਟ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

IRCC will accept up to 15,000 completed applications for sponsorship under the Parent and Grandparent Program this year. Invitations to apply will be sent to 23,100 potential sponsors over the next 2 weeks, from which 15,000 applications will be selected.
