Resolution: Standing with Portage College Graduates
NorthPace Immigration stands with the international graduates affected by the Portage College PGWP refusals and is troubled by this week's CBSA enforcement at the Calgary protest site. 🚨 CBSA officers were present at the Calgary protest by Portage College graduates today, reportedly checking attendees’ immigration documents.

The protest — now stretching over 10 days, including a hunger strike — began after hundreds of graduates who studied through Portage College’s public-private partnership programs had their Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) applications refused, following IRCC’s May 2024 rule change excluding these programs from PGWP eligibility.

Organizers say they’re not asking for permanent residency — just the chance to gain Canadian work experience they believe they were promised when they enrolled.
