Most morning starts the same way with Frankie & Harvey. 2 x 1 year-old golden retrievers exploding with energy down the bush trail before I’ve had my coffee. By the time we’re done, they’ve probably covered twice the distance I have with all the back-and-forth through the bush & swamps.

I always say I walk them because they need the exercise, but truthfully, it’s become something more for me too.

The quiet. The routine. The absence of phones, emails, and noise.
