We are incredibly pleased to announce that McLash Law will be merging with Shoreline Law, effective January 2, 2024. Together, we will be the largest, most comprehensive law firm on the Sunshine Coast, BC.

As of January 2, 2024, we will have a new Sechelt location at Unit 103 – 5682 Wharf Avenue, as well as the current Shoreline Law location in Gibsons at Unit 101 – 1000 Venture Way. Of course, you can still reach us at our Sechelt location at the same phone number 604-989-9000. For our current clients, know that we will be reaching out to each and every one of you between now and into the New Year as we carry out a full transition.

With this merger, we are greatly expanding the range of legal services and areas of law available through our collective firm, Shoreline Law.

I know we don’t post nearly enough, but that’s because we seem to always be moving and shaking! Thought I’d share that our new office in Sechelt at the Watermark is finally starting to take shape!

Our current Receptionist is being promoted within and so we need another Receptionist!

Why work with us? We offer flexibility, a great work environment, and room for career advancement and training. We are a general law office and offer services in real estate, corporate, wills and estates, family and civil litigation.

This is a permanent, F/T position, in-office.

Qualified persons must have a sense of humour and need to be efficient, reliable, personable, invested in maintaining an enjoyable work environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills, pay close attention to detail, and be computer savvy. Duties will include, but are not limited to: greeting clients; answering phones, emails and directing clients correctly; preparing coffee/tea; bank and mail runs; light cleaning; opening/closing files; preparing billing and taking payment; drafting documents; and ordering supplies.

While experience working in a law office or other office environment is helpful, preference will be shown to applicants who have an awesome attitude and are willing to learn. Note that this entry-level position could easily lead to a legal assistant position.

Remuneration to commiserate with experience.

You may have noticed that we have listed our office for sale... I’m happy to say it’s because we need a bigger space.

We are pleased to announce that we will be moving to a larger location in the next few months, about 100 steps to the left, at the other corner of the Watermark buildings. We anticipate being able to offer seamless services during the transition and will post updates as improvements to the new space begin!
