Thinking about the principles we learn, international law, human rights, the United Nations —and feeling like they’re just words when people are being killed. It’s heartbreaking and maddening.
If everyone just stands by and does nothing, the worst will happen: those being oppressed will be erased, and cruelty will keep spreading. It shouldn’t be up to only one country to act.
Humanity must stand together.
How can anyone watch a government kill its own people and do nothing? This isn’t just sad, it’s a deep, crushing sorrow.
We have to believe there’s a better way, one where the world refuses to be silent in the face of evil.
