GTA REALTORS Release March 2026 Stats – Summary

The GTA housing market tightened in March 2026, with sales increasing 1.7% year-over-year while new listings dropped significantly by 16.7%. This shift indicates stronger demand relative to supply as we move into the spring market.

The average selling price was $1,017,796, down 6.7% from last year, improving affordability and encouraging more buyers to re-enter the market. Month-over-month, both sales and listings increased, with sales rising at a slightly faster pace.

Despite improved affordability, buyers still maintained negotiating power, which kept prices lower year-over-year. However, with inventory tightening, prices may begin to stabilize in the coming months if this trend continues.
