πŸ‘€ They didn't apply for PR first, so how did this family of four become permanent residents?

A PR approval is exciting. But sometimes, the real story is everything that came before it. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

For this family of four, becoming permanent residents wasn’t a one-step process.

Their journey took them from study permits β†’ work permits β†’ provincial nomination β†’ permanent residence.

What made the journey successful?

πŸ‘‰ Having a clear plan, adjusting as needed with the right support at every stage.

We worked with the family throughout their journey, helping them navigate each application, preparing the necessary documentation, and adjusting their strategy as they moved from one immigration stage to the next.

Now, they can officially call Canada home. πŸŽ‰

Every immigration journey looks different. Sometimes, the pathway to PR is built one step at a time.

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ 1,000 MORE PNP SPOTS FOR PR IN BC!

B.C. has more room to nominate candidates in 2026, but with the province taking a more targeted approach, who gets selected matters just as much as the number of spots available.

If you're working in B.C. and planning your pathway to permanent residence, this additional allocation is worth watching closely.

Your occupation, work experience, location, and overall profile can all affect which pathways may be available to you.

‼️ The Northwest Territories is getting more immigration spaces for 2026!

The territory’s Nominee Program allocation has increased by 103 spots, bringing the total to 300 nominations for the year.

This increase is significant because the NWT’s initial 2026 allocation was 197 spots, a reduction from the 300 nominations allocated in both 2024 and 2025. The latest increase restores the territory to that previous level as the GNWT continues advocating for immigration spaces that reflect its labour market needs.

The additional allocation will also allow the NWT to hold an extra Expression of Interest draw on August 26, giving eligible candidates another opportunity to be selected this year.

πŸ“Œ Application deadline for the August 26 draw: August 24, 2026

If you're considering the Northwest Territories as part of your Canadian immigration plans, understanding the available streams and selection process is important.

πŸ“’ Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative Extended to October!

The BC Provincial Nominee Program has extended the registration period for its Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative.

The extension means eligible applicants now have more time to register, with the new deadline set for October 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

The change was made to account for wildfire-related impacts across the province.

πŸ“Œ If you're considering this initiative, review the latest Skills Immigration Program Guide and application instructions before submitting your registration.

πŸ‘€ Did the Express Entry CRS Just Drop to 382?

πŸ‘‰ The 382 CRS cut-off is 9 points lower than the previous French-language draw and significantly below the latest CEC cut-off of 523.

French-language proficiency continues to be a key Express Entry category, giving eligible French-speaking candidates another potential pathway to permanent residence.

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ If you speak French and are considering Express Entry, it may be worth checking whether your profile qualifies for this category.
