πŸ’™ July 30 is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.

Human trafficking happens in communities across Canada, and it can affect people of any age, gender, or background. It is a crime that often relies on manipulation, coercion, threats, or the abuse of power to exploit another person.

Today is an opportunity to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and stand with survivors.

There are ways we can all help:
πŸ”Ή Learn the warning signs of human trafficking.
πŸ”Ή Check in on someone if you're concerned about their safety.
πŸ”Ή Support survivors with compassion and without judgment.
πŸ”Ή Share trusted resources and help raise awareness.

Awareness is one of the strongest tools we have in preventing exploitation. By learning more and looking out for one another, we can help create safer communities for everyone.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911. Support and confidential resources are also available through the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-833-900-1010 or by visiting CanadianHumanTraffickingHotline.ca.

πŸ’™ Together, we can help protect dignity, promote safety, and support those affected by human trafficking.
