Despite the clouds, we gathered for Community Night last week at the Friendship Centre.

A huge shout out to all our drummers who showed up and shared their gift of song with us.

And what was really beautiful to see was that when the rain started to come down, everyone stayed to help pack up and clean up. No one rushed off all the people stayed together and pitched in.

Yesterday was the Early Services Department’s Back-to-School Supplies Event! 🎒

Our team was happy to lend a hand by preparing 400 bagged lunches for our friends attending the event.

A great example of teams coming together to support children, youth, and families as they get ready for another school year! 🙌

Today we travelled to Fort St. James – Nu Yiz for cultural teachings with Vince Prince.

We toured the island, learned about its history, and with guidance from Vince, Treena, and nephew they taught us how to prepare the fish and shared a delicious meal together.

A great day of culture, connection, and learning for our youth and staff. Next week we camp!
