December client spotlight:

This jolly fellow stopped by the office last week to discuss a minor fender bender he was involved in last year around this time. His sled insurer has denied coverage indicating they only insure damage that occurs on the roadway and that rooftop damage is specifically excluded. We’ll be reviewing the policy to give him his best options to get back on his merry way!

Tomorrow is the retirement of someone truly special to our firm. After four decades of as the heart, soul and captain of Laushway Law, our Office Manager and Litigation Assistant, Janet Hutton, is beginning a well-deserved new chapter.

For 40 years, Janet has been supporting our team, guiding our clients with compassion, and helping shape the practice into what it is today. Her dedication, professionalism, and kindness have left a lasting mark on all of us.

While we will deeply miss her presence in the office, we are incredibly grateful for her years of commitment and the legacy she leaves behind. Please join us in wishing Janet a joyful, fulfilling, and relaxing retirement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for support to the real estate department, opening files, data entry, assisting Wills & POA department, banking, admin and reception support and undertaking additional responsibilities as required to support the legal team. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, is personable and patient with clientele, can efficiently multitask.

Experience with Unity and Teraview is an asset.
