On the agenda at the CBA Competition Law Fall Conference (October 15–16, Fairmont Château Laurier, Ottawa): Canadian competition law is undergoing its most significant transformation in a generation, and this year's program tackles the changes head-on.

Two plenary sessions frame the key issues: the opening session explores the role competition policy should play in building a resilient economy, affordability, competitiveness, innovation, and economic sovereignty. The second focuses on the Investment Canada Act, considering whether the net benefit test, strengthened national security provisions, and the new pre-closing filing regime effectively address risk without discouraging beneficial investment.
