ONTARIO LANDLORDS β€” THE RULES ARE CHANGING.

Starting September 21, 2026, significant changes are coming to N4 Notices for Non-Payment of Rent.

The proposed changes may shorten notice periods and affect how quickly landlords can proceed with rent arrears matters before the Landlord and Tenant Board.

But faster timelines also mean less room for error.

A mistake on a notice, application, or procedural step can result in delays, adjournments, or even dismissal of your case.

When rental arrears continue to grow, every delay can become expensive.

Before serving notices or filing applications, make sure your strategy is built on current lawβ€”not outdated information.

Our legal team represents residential landlords across Ontario before the Landlord and Tenant Board, on reviews, appeals, and enforcement proceedings.
