Bill 60, the Your Health Act, 2023, aims to improve patient-wait times in Ontario by allowing private facilities to offer OHIP-insured services. But it lacks safeguards for physicians' privileges at these facilities.

The Ontario government has decided to stop provincial funding for virtual care by emergency room physicians at the end of March.
