Is your Employer eligible for OINP Employer Job Offer stream for International students?

Employers in Ontario needs to follow certain requirements:

1. General requirements

To qualify under the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream, your employer must:
a)have been in active business for at least three years prior to submitting your application
b)have business premises in Ontario where you will work
c)have no outstanding orders made against them under the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 or the Occupational Health and Safety Act

2. Revenue requirements

Your employer’s business must meet one of the relevant revenue requirement for the most recently completed fiscal year (the year used for tax or accounting purposes):
a) a minimum of $1,000,000 in total gross annual revenue if you will work or report to work at a location in the Greater Toronto Area (City of Toronto, Durham, Halton, York and Peel regions) or
b) a minimum of $500,000 in total gross annual revenue if you will work or report to work at a location outside the Greater Toronto Area

3. Full-time employee requirements

Your employer’s business must have at the time of application submission one of the following:
a)At least five full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents who work at the location where you will work, or will report to work, if you will work or report to work at a location in the Greater Toronto Area (City of Toronto, Durham, Halton, York and Peel regions) or
b) at least three full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents who work at the location where you will work, or will report to work, if you will work or report to work at a location outside the Greater Toronto Area
Meaning of full-time employee
A full-time employee is an employee who has worked a minimum of 30 hours per week.

4. Employer Form

Your employer must make an application for approval of an employment position by filling out and signing an Employer Form.
Your employer then must give you the form so you can scan and upload it with your application.

16 Occupations that will become eligible for Express Entry under new TEER system

On November 16, 2022 Canadian government will implement new version of 2021 National Occupational Classification (NOC).This new NOC system will arrange occupations based on Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities(TEER).16 occupations which were earlier not eligible under Express Entry will become eligible.

>Payroll administrators
>Transport truck drivers
>Dental assistants and dental laboratory assistants
>Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates
>Pharmacy technical assistants and pharmacy assistants
>Elementary and secondary school teacher assistants
>Sheriffs and bailiffs
>Correctional service officers
>By-law enforcement and other regulatory officers
>Estheticians, electrologists and related occupations
>Residential and commercial installers and Servicers
>Pest controllers and fumigators
>Other repairers and servicers
>Bus drivers, subway operators and other transit operators
>Heavy equipment operators

How to Immigrate to Canada under Federal Skilled Worker Category?

Federal Skilled Worker category is very famous category for the Skilled international applicants to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.The applicant must have gained their work experience under the eligible job titles under new NOC TEER 0,1,2 or 3.Further, Candidate needs to have gained 67 points out of 100 points to make himself eligible for submitting Express Entry profile. Points are assigned to every candidate based on the education, work experience, English/French language skills, and other factors. Candidates whose points are as equivalent or above the cutoff score gets the invitation to apply for Permanent Residency.Following are the important attributes regarding the FSW:

1)Work Experience:

Your Skilled Work Experience must meet the following requirements:
1. In the same type of job as your primary TEER.
2. You must prove that you have performed the duties that matches the TEER for your job title.
3. Within the last 10 years.
4. Must be paid work ( volunteer work and unpaid internships don’t count).
5. Work experience must be in TEER 0, or TEER 1, 2 or 3 as per the 2021 National Occupational Classification (NOC).
6. At least 1 year of continuous work in last 10 years (Total 1,560 hours in 1 year or 30 hours per week),:
a) Full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for
12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours).

b) Equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours).

c) Full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours).

2)Education

If you have foreign education, you must have:
A completed credential, and
An Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for immigration purposes from a designated organization showing that your education is equal to a completed certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian secondary institution (high school) or post-secondary institution

3)Language Ability

You must get at valid least minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in all 4 abilities.
