Hi everyone,

We are seeking an experienced conveyancer to assist with our growing real estate practice.

We are looking for a team player who is motivated, results-driven and prepared to hit the ground running.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- completion of a Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal program;
- minimum 2+ years of experience in a conveyancing role;
- excellent command of the English language;
- ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of work;
- proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, LTSA, and BConline, Econvey and/or Prosuite;
- attention to detail, self-motivated and ability to autonomously manage files;
- friendly and customer service-oriented with the ability to build and maintain relationships;

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Preparing client file materials including opening files, updating client information, maintaining a diary system; responding to general enquiries, and filing;
- Typing and proof-reading correspondence and documents;
- Preparing and closing approximately 30 files per month including sale, purchase and refinance transactions
- experience in new development and private mortgage transactions is an asset.
- 40 hours per week.

As of November 30, 2020, the Land Owner Transparency Act (LOTA) requires that when an application is made to register an interest in land (such as a purchase of real property), a declaration is filed by each transferee/purchaser stating whether the transferee/purchaser is a reporting body, corporation, a trustee, or a partner of a relevant partnership. Find out if and how this affects your ownership in land by contacting our office.

NOTE:
Existing reporting bodies with an interest in land will need to file a transparency report by November 30, 2021.
