It has been 2 months since Terry's sudden passing. Though these past months have been difficult ones for us we feel supported and hemmed in by many caring and wonderful people near and far. We were overwhelmed by the many family and friends, Terry's past and present clients and many colleagues who attended his service to celebrate his life and legacy. Several requests came in to post a link to his service for those who could not attend. Thank you again for your kindness and care for us as a family. It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden loss of Terry Napora.

While our hearts are still reeling from this tragic loss we want to honor the legacy, the heart and spirit of Terry.

Terry championed the cause of the underdog, loved the big and small challenges, was passionate about his work and the people he served, and fearless in his defense of his clients.

As a staff we will remember his relaxed nature that spoken and unspokenly asked of us to do our best, trust our abilities and do good work for those that walk through our office doors.

We would like to assure our clients we are committed to this quality of care and will be working to ensure that there is little to no disruptions regarding your matters.

It's not surprising that Health Canada is doing such a lousy job regulating the use of medicinal ma*****na in Canada.

Their website has the following warning:

Dried ma*****na is not an approved drug or medicine in Canada. The Government of Canada does not endorse the use of ma*****na, but the courts have required reasonable access to a legal source of ma*****na when authorized by a physician.

They are in effect saying, we have a law we don't believe in, we're not going to change it and we're going to waste millions of tax dollars reluctantly administering it. The court has not said that they can't change the law, only that the way the law is drafted, the government was not following it by having a regime in place for medicinal use.

In the law's current form, the Canadian government MUST give the opportunity for people to use it for medicinal purposes. Our Supreme Court of Canada has confirmed this.

This stand and the government's current action only harms those who could benefit from the medicinal use of ma*****na.

Should I accept ICBC's offer? Often when someone is still getting physio and other treatment, ICBC offers to settle the case with a generous amount for continued treatment. This often works out but if the injury turns out to be worse than expected, then you have no recourse.

My suggestion is wait until you are fully recovered and your doctor confirms this. We can help you in dealing with ICBC if the symptoms won't go away.

It's posts sometimes give a distorted view of someone, other times - like in the article below - can expose the truth. If you are making a claim where what you say is being relied upon and you choose to post on FaceBook, make sure your postings are not just accurate, but balanced.
