We got a head start on holiday celebrations this year! We are so grateful to have such a strong and wonderful team. A few absents in this picture who remain close to our heart, we got to laugh and unwind around some sake 🍶 and delicious 🍱. Our team is ever growing (🙏🏼) and always does an excellent job at hosting our holiday dinner accommodating everyone's preferences and restrictions! Hiring a Junior Lawyer!

Derhy Lawyers & Notaries is an established and reputable boutique law firm looking to hire a full-time junior lawyer with 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation. The ideal candidate possesses a desire to grow with our expanding firm and looking to get hands-on experience.

The junior lawyer will be responsible for completing the following duties:
• Draft correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, motions, applications, affidavits, settlement agreements, etc.
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal advice
• Attend and conduct examinations for discovery
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
• Communicate with clients, the courts and other parties

Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience in the area of civil litigation
• Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills
• Completion of an LL.B. or a J.D. from an accredited law school
• In good standing and licensed with the Québec Bar
• Bilingual (written and spoken)
