🚨 Imagine this: You’re at home, having a drink, never drove a car—yet you get a knock on the door, a breath test, lose your licence, and face thousands in penalties. And then, when you try to defend yourself, you’re denied a fair hearing.

This is an example of what's been happening in New Brunswick under the new Immediate Roadside Suspension law (s. 310.06 MVA) since January 2025.

Our lawyers at Atlantic Defence have been fighting for the public’s rights since day one. This week, Justice Dysart confirmed what we’ve seen in dozens of cases: the regime was not being followed as required by law, decisions were unreasoned, and New Brunswickers were denied fairness.
