Starting ๐—”๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—น ๐Ÿญ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, ๐˜๐—ผ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿญ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿณ, the Ontario government, in partnership with the federal government, will offer a full HST rebate (up to $130,000) on new homes valued up to $1 million, expanding eligibility to all buyers, including investors and repeat buyers.

Here are some initial points; however, knowing that we are still working on the finer details of how the HST rebate or credit will be handled, each developer is currently handling the process differently. Guidelines exist regarding whether the property is an investment property or a principal residence. The main detail is that an investor must occupy the property within a tighter timeline than someone purchasing for their principal residence. Some details regarding this are included below.
